John McDermott
John McDermott is a Nationally Accredited Mediator, a Court appointed Arbitrator and a member of the Arbitration Liaison Committee of the Law Society of NSW.
John’s practice and as a Mediator and Arbitrator has involved disputes involving major banks and individuals, disputes as regards mortgages and very numerous matters relating to commercial leases or leases entered into pursuant to the Retail Leases Act. John is a member of the New South Wales State Government Retail Leases Panel.
John has frequently dealt with disputes pursuant to the Law Society approved Contract for Sale of Land. He was one of the first solicitors in New South Wales to be appointed by the Law Society as both a Business Specialist and a Property Specialist which assists in taking a balanced common sense view in this area.
