Many States have enacted legislation to assist farmers with the resolution of financial disputes involving farming assets. The NSW Farm Debt Mediation Act 1994 was one of the earliest and enacted a scheme of resolution with mediators approved and accredited by the NSW Rural Assistance Authority.

Derek Minus – farm debt mediator
Derek Minus is accredited as a NSW Farm Debt mediator pursuant to the legislation.
He is a Nationally Accredited mediator and barrister who has been appointed to numerous mediation panels.
